Creating the New Education Standard

Certificates/Badges. We are creating a new standard for learning online and it includes certificates and/or badges. We think combining the openness of blogs and the efficiency of online education is the future. For instance, if you watch our micro-lecture 19.3 and complete the free online quiz, we will give you a certificate/badge for "Knowledge in Wagner-Merwein shifts." This allows students to track their progress as well as get credit for their work. They can display this certificate/badge on their blog in their education/accomplishments section. This will all be based on a simple pass/fail system because ultimately it is the responsibility of the student to understand and retain the material. We will provide discussion rooms moderated by a qualified expert and social tools to create a true virtual learning environment.

We are really excited to begin building this new segment for Innovative in Education. We think it will make education super-transparent, allow future employers to see much more data than simply a college diploma or resume and, of course, for a very affordable price - Free! Education must be available to all.

Innovative in Education was founded on the idea that higher education should not be available only to those who can afford it. Students should not have to be burdened with debt after graduation. Tuition should not be rising out of control.

Micro-Lectures

Our videos are to-the-point and only ten mintues long. All of our organic chemistry videos can be found on our YouTube Channel. You can learn organic chemistry from the comfort of your home, the local coffee shop or in your local library - whatever is most convenient for you!

Free Interactve Textbook

We created an interactive textbook to help you learn the material. It is way more fun to read then a regular textbook because we provide easy links to wikipedia and our YouTube videos are embedded after each section.
